  The Job Costing module tracks the actual cost of manufacturing jobs. It records material, labor, and other costs to ensure business profitability. It compares actual versus planned or estimated costs. You can operate this subsystem by itself or in combination with other modules like Inventory, Work in Progress, Accounts Payable and General Ledger.    
       
     
Analyzes labor, material, and other costs
   
Compares actual with planned or estimated costs    
Provides management information for monitoring progress and determining actual cost overruns    
Automatically obtains material costs through the Inventory Control module, if purchased    
Obtains cost of non inventory items and outside processes from the Accounts Payable module    
Obtains labor from the Work in Progress or Labor Reporting modules    
Calculates overhead amounts using work center and operations rates    
Provides detailed reports to reflect job progress    
Provides distribution account summary and detailed reports for GL module
