  The Cost Generation module is designed to establish and maintain standard cost data for each item. This allows for a full simulation of all costs for review and approval before any update to standard cost.    
Maintains frozen, current, last actual, weighed average, and new costs for material, labor, and overhead    
Maintains multiple labor grades and overhead rates for each Operation within a work center    
Applies percentage increases or decreases through cost specifications    
Performs Bill of Material reconciliation for all or a selected range of items    
Produces error report identifying conditions which may require corrections before cost adjustments    
Material, labor, and overhead costs are determined using Bill of Material and Routing. The Bill of Material is extended by quantity per to calculate the material cost. The routing operations within each work center establish the labor costs.    
Reconciles the labor and overhead costs based on routings, Work centers, and labor grades with item master costs and print variance    
Generates labor and overhead costs for a single item, a specified range of items, or all items based on routing    
Calculates standard costs automatically by the system or by manual override on specific items    
Generates costs for one or more items with either single or multi-level explosions    
Uses system-generated costs to update frozen and/or current standard costs
